ABOUT ME
Marci Janecek
As a 10-year-old, I dreamed of becoming an artist. However, studying sciences was considered the more practical pursuit, and I ended up enrolling in physiotherapy at Queen’s University. But that dream never died. For more than a decade, I worked as a freelance graphic designer, and for over a year, as an animator at Switch Video in Collingwood, Ontario. Eventually, I knew I couldn’t ignore my dreams any longer.

In 2020, I took the leap and turned my freelance work into a full-time career, and I have never felt more fulfilled than I do now. I am finally utilizing my entire skillset—both my scientific and creative capabilities—and I’m excited to see where my newfound passion takes me.

When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me exploring the great outdoors, enjoying activities like skiing, hiking, inline skating and stand up paddleboarding in both Ontario and beautiful British Columbia.
